ULFHEDNAR wins M6 Wild Card, joins the #GreaterThanEver Swiss Stage, starting 28 November

Türkiye's ULFHEDNAR (ULF) bested seven other teams in the Wild Card Stage of the M6 World Championship to punch the last ticket to the M6 Swiss Stage. The team will compete against 15 other international teams for the most coveted world title and the biggest share of the increased prize pool worth USD 1 million.

Hosted in IOI Grand Exhibition & Convention Centre, IOI City Mall, Putrajaya, the Wild Card Stage saw ULF waste no time in imposing their will against Insilio (INS), cruising to a statement sweep (3:0) in the Best-Of-Five (BO5) Wild Card Finals match. The team will now get to show they are #GreaterThanEver on the Swiss Stage, commencing on 28 November.

ULF is composed of Bariş Ali “Alien” Çakır (EXP Laner), Gürkan "LonelyKid" Sorkun (EXP Laner) Sidar “Tienzy” Menteşe (Jungler), Ahmet Taha “Rosa” Batır (Mid Laner), Emre “Sunshine” Sarı (Gold Laner), and Furkan “APEX47” Akbulut (Roamer). Sacit “Badgalseph” Arslan and Vladimir “Ospreay” Gonchar lead the team as the Analyst and Head Coach, respectively.

ULF will play against American Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) team BloodThirstyKings (BTK) in the second match of Swiss Stage Day 1, scheduled for 28 November at 15:00 (GMT+8).

“We prepared for Insilio and we knew their pocket picks, so we just carefully drafted around it to get the best possible result," said ULF Head Coach Vladimir “Ospreay” Gonchar during the post-match conference. "We also want to achieve a clean run on the Swiss Stage. Our goal is to have a seamless run."

The M6 Wild Card Stage set a new benchmark for Peak Concurrent Viewers (PCV) at 344,871, according to Esports Charts, surpassing the M5 World Championship Wild Card record of 271,822 PCV.

#GreaterThanEver action continues, much-awaited Swiss Stage starts 28 November 

The Swiss Stage will commence on 28 November, at 14:00 (GMT+8), with the host country's Selangor Red Giants (SRG) and S2G Esports opening the tournament. The Swiss Stage will see 16 teams play five rounds. Eight teams to get three match wins will advance to the Knockout Stage, and the other eight teams that will get three match losses will be eliminated.

The first round of the Knockout Stage is in a BO3 match series and will happen on 7 December 2024. The second round will be in BO5 format and will run from 8-14 December 2024. The Grand Finals Day, in a BO7 match format, takes place on 15 December 2024, at 17:00 (GMT +8).
