RIYADH, SAUDI ARABIA, 15 November – Team Malaysia today continued its history-making year by winning the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) event at the World Esports Championship (WEC) 2024. They bested Team Philippines 2-0 in the Grand Finals to take home the championship title and USD 70,000 of the USD 160,000 prize pool. Team Malaysia's triumph will taste particularly sweet as it was served with a side of revenge; they had previously lost 1-2 to Team Philippines in the Group Stage.

JOHOR BAHRU, MALAYSIA, 4 November – Selangor Red Giants defeated Team Vamos 4-2 last night in the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League (MPL) Malaysia Season 14 Grand Finals, becoming the first team to claim back-to-back MPL Malaysia titles. The history-makers had previously claimed Malaysia's first international Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) Esports title in July, at the MLBB Mid Season Cup (MSC) in Saudi Arabia.
THAILAND, 30 October – Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) has been unveiled as the headline esports event at the 33rd Southeast Asian (SEA) Games in Thailand. The world's most popular mobile esports game will have men's and women's medalled competitions at the 33rd SEA Games, marking the fourth consecutive time that MLBB is a medalled sport at the biennial multi-sporting event. MLBB holds the records as the most-watched esports event in SEA Games history for both the men's and women's categories; at the 32nd SEA Games in Cambodia, the men's category had 1,462,871 Peak Concurrent Viewers (PCV) and the women's category had 1,367,274 PCV, according to Esports Charts.
