Over nine years, the game has become the region's defining mobile title, retaining millions of active players across Southeast Asia. Its influence now stretches worldwide, with the game's flagship M Series World Championships evolving into one of the biggest esports spectacles, with every edition from 2020 to 2023 improving on its peak viewership numbers.

In Q2 2025, MLBB was crowned the world's most popular esports title, drawing more than 4.1 million peak concurrent viewers and surpassing long-standing PC giants such as League of Legends. This sustained growth and cultural relevance have established MLBB not only as a leading game, but as a global entertainment platform that continues to drive partnerships, collaborations, and industry innovation.
As MLBB celebrates its leadership in the gaming industry, the 9th anniversary festival highlights the game's enduring community appeal with new skins, events, and rewards.
Light up the Anniversary Venue and earn Fanny's Epic girl group skin
To celebrate this milestone, MLBB is launching its largest annual appreciation event, designed to give back to the community that continues to fuel its success. From 9 October, the "9th to Meet You" festival will introduce exclusive girl group-themed skins for four heroes, alongside a full suite of limited-time events and lasting rewards.
On launch day, the anniversary celebrations come alive through the "Anniversary Venue", a special in-game hub designed just for the celebration. Players can take part in matches and missions to collect Anniversary Points and Energy, which are then used to light up different sections of the venue. Each stage brings new colours, effects, and rewards, turning the Venue into a vibrant festival space that reflects the players' collective efforts.

The celebration also introduces the new Stardust Vault, a permanent reward system where unclaimed event progress is converted into Stardust Crystals. These can be exchanged for a wide range of skins, including Epic skins, ensuring no effort goes to waste. This system reinforces MLBB's player-first approach by providing flexibility and long-term value. Together, these features guarantee that every player can take home lasting anniversary rewards simply by playing.
