JAKARTA, 16 February – Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) Esports always carries inclusiveness in every tournament, be it in the MLBB Development League (MDL), the MLBB Professional League (MPL), or international tournaments such as the MSC and M Series. In order to emphasize this, the MDL Indonesia is collaborating with WSL to give the opportunity to the women's teams from the league to compete in MDL ID Season 10.

There will be two slots for the strongest women's teams in Indonesia to compete in the upcoming MDL ID Season 10. Each team will be selected from the WSL Season 8 (1st champion) and WSL Invitational 2024 (Indonesian-team top rank leaderboard). If the WSL Season 8 Champion succeeds in becoming the Indonesian-Team Top Rank Leaderboard in WSLI 2024, then the second highest Indonesian team in Rank Leaderboard will get the last slot leading to MDL ID Season 10.
Carrying gender equality that continues to be a conversation in the MLBB Community today, this form of collaboration answers the question "Can the women's teams compete with professional men's teams in general in a tournament?"
According to MOONTON Games Esports Indonesia Public Relations Manager, Azwin Nugraha, MDL Indonesia includes a team of women who are very compatible with the MDL mission that carries the theme of esports for everyone and makes MDL a place to continue to grow.
"MLBB Esports tournaments including MDL, MPL, MSC, M Series and others are not male-only tournaments. From the beginning, MLBB Esports came with inclusiveness so it is not limited to anyone including our relatives who have special needs. Inclusivity is not only about gender equality, but it means that all audiences can participate and compete at different levels to realize their dreams," Azwin said.
Head of Event WSL, Kresna Panji Saputra, welcomed the initiation of MDL Indonesia. He stated that this collaboration is also a solution for MLBB ladies players who often get little opportunity to improve skill sets or skills and competitive spirit.
"This will be the first step for players ladies to be able to get new challenges and rise to the next level. besides that with the entry of the WSL team into the MDL arena will be a proving venue that women can also compete equally with men in the same scene," said Kresna.
MDL Indonesia eventually managed to become the first Indonesian MLBB league to provide an opportunity for ladies teams to fight officially in the tournament organized by MOONTON Games. The strength of the MLBB Ladies team in Indonesia cannot be underestimated. International achievements such as BTR era who became the champion of MLBB Women's Invitational (MWI) 2022 and also the MLBB team from Indonesia who made the name of the country in the SEA Games Cambodia 2023, by winning the Gold medal.
