JAKARTA, 2 June – Geek Fam Jr. made an epic comeback against RRQ Sena and won Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Development League Indonesia (MDL ID) Season 9. This marks Geek Fam Jr.'s first appearance in the MDL ID Grand Finals and their first MDL ID title. Season 9 commenced in March, and has seen 17 teams progress from the Group Stages to Progressive Round, and then finally, to the Playoffs.

The Progressive Round was first introduced to make the competition more competitive. Bigetron Beta and ONIC Prodigy became the first two teams to qualify for the Playoffs from the Progresive Round, followed by RRQ Sena, Geek Fan Jr., and Esports Swordsmen in Round 5.

The Grand Finals went the full series, with Geek Fam Jr. beating RRQ Sena with a 4-3 scoreline. Geek Fam and RRQ have a famous rivalry in MLBB Esports Indonesia. 

Geek Fam's xMagic was named the Finals MVP for MDL ID Season 9.
