Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) is the most watched mobile esports title of 2024!

MLBB cemented its status as the top mobile esports title of 2024, surpassing 475 million watch hours worldwide, according to Esposrts Charts! Driven by the success of international, local, and third-party tournaments, this achievement highlights the success of MLBB's ecosystem and the title's ever-expanding ability to captivate a global audience.

The Mid Season Cup (MSC) 2024 was a standout at the Esports World Cup (EWC), achieving the highest viewership with over 29 million Hours Watched (HW) and 2.38 million Peak Concurrent Viewers (PCV). The MLBB Women's Invitational (MWI) made history not only as the event's first women's tournament but also by reaching 265,117 Peak Concurrent Viewers (PCV) during the Grand Finals, surpassing its previous record of 179,024. Meanwhile, the M6 World Championship set a new record as the most-watched M Series event ever, exceeding 85 million watch hours.

At the local levels, the MLBB Professional League (MPL) ecosystem has continued to gain momentum, further strengthening MLBB's foothold in key markets. The MPL circuit also made headlines as the first esports event to surpass 1 billion hours of watch time globally, according to Esports Charts.

MLBB esports' continued growth reflects its expanding ecosystem, dedicated fanbase, commitment to inclusivity, and strengthening global presence. For the first time, MLBB will take the stage at Asia's largest sporting competition, returning for its 20th edition in Nagoya, Japan. This marks a significant moment for MLBB, reinforcing its growing influence in competitive gaming and its power to unite diverse communities through top-tier esports. MLBB's inclusion at the Asian Games reflects a commitment to shaping the future of esports – empowering athletes to pursue their dreams and giving them a chance compete on a global stage. Magic Chess: Go Go's APAC Grand Launch: 15 million pre-registrations; first esports event; producer insights

Magic Chess: Go Go (MCGG) cemented itself as one of 2025's most anticipated mobile game titles as it surpassed 15 million pre-registrations ahead of its APAC Grand Launch on 21 February! Now available for download on iOS and Android across Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, and Thailand, the game brings a fresh competitive twist to strategy gaming.

Originally introduced as an arcade mode in MLBB, Magic Chess quickly gained a dedicated following, shaping the development of MCGG as a standalone title. MCGG Producer Gao "Shyhook" Chong shared that the now-standalone game is designed to provide a more tailored experience, with seasonal updates, in-game events, and collaborations with popular anime IPs to keep gameplay engaging.

MCGG is also kicking off its venture into the esports scene with the Magic Chess: Go Go Indonesia Community Tournament (MCCT ID), running from 7 to 16 March. This online tournament will see 512 players in Indonesia compete for a USD 5,100 prize pool, offering a new gateway for aspiring esports players to go professional.

Gao believes that in MCGG esports, anyone can be a champion! Unlike traditional team-based esports, MCGG puts the spotlight on individual skill, strategy, and real-time decision-making, making competitive play more accessible than ever. With lower participation costs and barriers than many other esports, more players can pursue their esports dreams. MLBB emerges as most viewed esports in the Snapdragon Pro Series

The recently concluded Asia-Pacific Snapdragon Pro Series Mobile Challenge Finals – MLBB set new records for the series, with MLBB emerging as the most-viewed tournament in terms of Hours Watched (HW) and Peak Concurrent Viewership (PCV). According to Esports Charts, the event recorded a 1,158,590 PCV and 15,146,478 HW, cementing MLBB's popularity in the esports scene.

Held in Johor Bahru, Malaysia, the Finals saw reigning world champions, ONIC Philippines, emerge victorious against sister team, ONIC Esports. The team secured the title, the USD 65,000 prize, and a coveted spot at the upcoming Snapdragon Mobile Masters 2025 – MLBB in Jakarta, Indonesia. Despite Malaysian teams missing out on the Finals, the event was contested in front of a sold-out crowd of over 4,000 fans, underscoring MLBB's regional following. The tournament's record-breaking success reinforces MLBB's role in elevating the third-party esports ecosystem as the competition builds towards its next major showdown in April.
