Yasunori Nishiki, the sound designer behind the official soundtrack of the Gothic Vampire Aesthetic Role-Playing Game (RPG) Silver and Blood, reveals in an interview his experience working on a dark-themed soundtrack for the first time. Yasunori is known for his work on "Octopath Traveler," "Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel," and "Monster Retsuden Oreca Battle," among others, which typically feature upbeat rhythms and lively melodies. On the other hand, Silver and Blood has an overall melancholic theme that evokes darkness, mystery, and otherworldliness.
"I’ve composed music for many RPGs before, but this is my first time working on a title with such a dark overall tone, which made this project a completely new challenge for me. I hope to bring out the best of my abilities and create music that would live up to the game’s artistic vision,” Yasunori shared.
MOONTON Games collaborated with the renowned composer to create an original gothic music soundtrack for Silver and Blood to immerse the players in the dark gothic world of "Children of the Moon," as they embark on a challenging journey to return to their homeland—the moon.
“When I first saw the Silver and Blood project proposal, I was immediately drawn to its stunning art style, rich worldbuilding, and deep narratives. It’s a work with remarkable depth and content." He added.
The interview also discussed how Yasunori brought his own musical identity to the project, enhancing the narratives through scene-driven melodies. “In the story segments, the focus is on delivering the narrative to the player. Here, music takes on a more supportive role, subtly enhancing the mood from the background to help players fully immerse themselves in the story.”
As of writing, Silver and Blood has now surpassed 6 million pre-registrations globally! The game is currently in its global pre-registration phase, where fans can unlock milestone rewards by reaching pre-registration targets. The top rewards include 1,000 Moon Tears, 10 Soothing Embrace, and the exclusive Super Special Rare (SSR) Vassal Hati.
MOONTON Games also officially announces that the open beta testing for Silver and Blood will be launched on 26 June 2025 to allow fans to explore the breathtaking fantasy world shrouded in darkness.
What's more, players can hear popular Japanese singer Milet sing Silver and Blood's official theme song, "Broken," on 13 June! The singer-songwriter is known for her hit song “Inside You,” which achieved a Gold status from the Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ). Broken's official music video will come out soon!
