Unlock Wu Zetian for Free During the 696 Event
This highly anticipated hero marks a special occasion as, for the first time in three years, players can unlock a new hero for free. All players will need to do is to complete in-game activities during the Phoenix Empress Rising patch, which runs from 18 June to 4 July. Players can unlock the Empress in as few as eight days.

Command the Battlefield with the Power of the Phoenix
Wu Zetian is a mid-lane mage who manipulates the battlefield with large-area crowd control, sustained spell damage, and a game-changing global ultimate. Her skill set rewards precise casting and calculated aggression—ideal for players who enjoy dictating the pace of battle while empowering their team.
Abilities:
Passive - Celestial Armament: This passive skill has two parts.
Phoenix Crown: The first part of Zetian's Passive grants her extra Spell Vamp when hitting enemy heroes with her 1st and 2nd skills, and this effect can stack.
Celestial Robe: The second part periodically protects Zetian with the power of the Phoenix Spirit by knocking back and stunning any enemy hero who dares get too close, dealing Magic Damage and granting a shield. This effect has a 2-minute cooldown.
Skill 1 – Phoenix Strike: Zetian fires a Phoenix Wave in the target direction. If it hits an enemy, she will automatically fire another, for up to three waves in total. The final Phoenix Wave deals more damage, has a larger Area of Effect (AoE), and pulls enemies in the opposite direction.
Skill 2 – Phoenix Descent: Zetian calls down her Phoenix Spirit at a target location, dealing Magic Damage to enemies in the area and slowing them. The Phoenix Spirit then circles in place for 3 seconds, continuously dealing Magic Damage and reducing Magic Defense. This skill can be recast to command the Phoenix Spirit to dash to a new location, dealing Magic Damage and slowing enemies again.
Ultimate – Fury of the Phoenix: Zetian empowers allied heroes with a gradually decaying movement Speed boost, and rains divine retribution down on all enemy heroes, dealing Magic Damage and stunning them.
