Season 8 of the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League Middle East and North Africa (MPL MENA) has concluded with Team Falcons soaring to victory as the first team to qualify for the M7 World Championship (M7) in Indonesia. AXE MENA (previously Ultra Legends), the second placed team, qualify to the M7 Wild Card stage. The Grand Finals, held at the Mall of Egypt in Cairo, marked the league's first-ever official event in Egypt and set a new milestone for Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) Esports' global expansion.

The Grand Finals on 17 October welcomed more than 1,000 attendees, turning the venue into a hub of passion, pride, and competitive spirit. Fans arrived hours before the event, filling multiple levels of the mall to witness the summit clash between Team Falcons and AXE MENA. The energy was electric from start to finish as Team Falcons won 4-1 in the best-of-seven series to complete a perfect season—ten matches, zero defeats, not a single series lost. Their triumph was also sweet revenge as after falling short to Ultra Legends in last season's Grand Finals.

MPL MENA Stands With Breast Cancer Awareness

The Grand Finals saw MPL MENA declare its support for Pink October, a global health campaign in October dedicated to raising awareness of breast cancer, promoting early detection and screening, and supporting those affected by the disease. MPL MENA hosts and broadcast talent donned pink ribbons throughout the event; online, the league promoted positive messaging via its owned channels and official broadcasts.

The campaign reflects MPL MENA's ongoing commitment to leveraging esports as a positive cultural force aligned with Olympic values of inclusivity and social responsibility, with MLBB set to feature as medalled esports events at the 33rd Southeast Asian (SEA) Games 2025 in Thailand and the 2026 Asian Games in Japan. This ethos also extends to the global MLBB Esports ecosystem, exemplified by the MLBB Women's Invitational (MWI) at the 2025 Esports World Cup (EWC) as the first and only women's tournament featured at the international competition. Such milestones underscore MOONTON Games' vision of building an inclusive and representative global esports landscape, where all players and fans can find belonging and opportunity.

Ray Ng, Head of Esports Ecosystems at MOONTON Games, said: "The conclusion of MPL MENA Season 8 represents more than just the crowning of a champion; it's testament to the incredible growth, passion, and diversity of our MLBB community in Egypt and in the wider MENA region. From Cairo to Riyadh, from MENA to Southeast Asia and beyond, we're committed to creating inclusive, world-class experiences that elevate local talent and unite fans everywhere. With initiatives like the MWI at EWC 25, we're proud to be setting new benchmarks for inclusivity and opportunity in esports."

As Team Falcons and AXE MENA prepare to represent MENA on the global stage at M7, the region continues to rise as one of MLBB's most promising competitive arenas—driving forward MOONTON Games' mission to empower communities, celebrate diversity, and connect the world through esports.

Ray added: "Looking ahead, we will continue to deepen our efforts to further strengthen MPL MENA's position within the global MLBB Esports ecosystem. The regional league is already MENA's fastest-growing sports entertainment property, but we want to supercharge this next season, when we expect to welcome new brands and players into our ecosystem. In fact, we have exciting global expansion plans that extend far beyond MENA next year; stay tuned for updates on new regions to come."
