KOG delivered a remarkable campaign throughout the tournament, completing an undefeated Regular Season (9:0) before mounting a hard-fought lower bracket run in the Playoffs. In the Lower Bracket Finals, KOG sent home crowd favorite Bacon Time (BAC) via sweep (3:0) to reach the Grand Finals.

KOG is composed of a mix of Thai and Filipino talent across all roles. Chaiyakrit "33rd" Buangern leads the EXP Lane, while Filipino jungler Ken Louie "Kzen" Bermudes Pile controls the jungle. Supporting the lineup is Piyanat "Zed" Songsermpanit in the mid lane, with Filipino gold laner John Ryan "Payen" Bernacer serving as one of the team’s main damage dealers, and Piya  "Nyle" Sriwilat and Phongpanod "Hiwko" Rueangarrirat as the roamers.

Beyond the competition, MSL Thailand Season 1 transformed BCC Hall into a celebration of Thai MLBB culture, featuring community activities, fan engagement zones, watch parties, and on-ground experiences that brought together Thai MLBB fans, players, and creators throughout the three-day event.

Thailand's journey to the global MLBB stage continues

Following their championship victory, KOG secured Thailand's direct berth to the MSC Wild Card Stage at EWC 2026. Meanwhile, runners-up BAC and ACT will continue their journey through the MLBB Challenge Cup Mekong (MCCM), where teams from Thailand, Vietnam, Timor-Leste, Laos, and Brunei will compete for an additional Wild Card slot to MSC at EWC 2026.

Thailand's women's MLBB representatives will also compete for qualification to the MLBB Women's Invitational (MWI) at EWC 2026 through a series of regional qualifiers across June. The pathway includes the MWI Thailand, and the MWI Mekong Qualifiers, creating more opportunities for Thai female esports athletes to compete on the international stage.

Since its launch in 2022, MWI has evolved from a Southeast Asia-focused tournament into MLBB's premier global women's esports competition and remains the only women's tournament featured at the Esports World Cup.

A new era for Thailand MLBB esports

MSL Thailand Season 1 represents a historic chapter for Thai MLBB esports. The league marks Thailand's first official MLBB league split since the country's competitive debut in 2017, when Thailand became the inaugural MSC (formerly MLBB Southeast Asia Cup) champion in 2017. Nearly a decade later, the launch of MSL Thailand reflects MLBB's continued long-term commitment to developing Thailand's local competitive ecosystem and strengthening the country's presence within global esports.

To support this vision, MLBB invested ฿10,000,000 into MSL Thailand Season 1 alone. The investment covered social media growth initiatives, community programs, ecosystem expansion efforts, team incentives, watch party activations, and the tournament prize pool, reflecting MLBB's continued commitment to sustainable esports development in Thailand.

Hao Zhen Siew, Head of Esports, Thailand, at MOONTON Games, said: "We believe building a sustainable esports ecosystem goes beyond competition alone. Our approach is not simply to build leagues, but to build communities together with our players, teams, and fans. Through initiatives such as offline regular season matches, watch party programs, and deeper fan engagement activities, we want to create more opportunities for Thai fans to connect with their favorite teams and players while strengthening the local esports culture from the ground up."

MSL Thailand Season 1 was supported by partners and sponsors that helped elevate the tournament and fan experience for the Thai MLBB community, including True5g as the Official Telecommunication Partner, Infinix as the Official Gaming Phone Partner and Sponsor, Richman Shop as an Official Sponsor, and DXRACER as the Official Gaming Chair Partner. This Playoffs, Monster Energy joined to provide drinks and activities for on-site spectators.

Beyond domestic competition, Thailand's pathway to global MLBB esports will continue through the MLBB Championship Tour Southeast Asia (MCT SEA), the region's official qualification circuit for the MLBB World Championship, including M8. Together, these competitive pathways create clearer opportunities for Thai players and teams to progress from local competition to the world stage.

Thailand: Host to MLBB's major tournaments

Following the successful debut of MSL Thailand, the country is set to play an even bigger role in the future of MLBB esports. This year, Thailand has been selected as the next host for major MLBB international events, including the MLBB Championship Tour (MCT) Southeast Asia (SEA) and the M8 World Championship Wild Card. These tournaments are expected to further elevate Thailand's esports profile by combining world-class competition with large-scale entertainment and fan experiences.

MLBB continues to strengthen its presence across Southeast Asia as one of the world's leading mobile esports ecosystems, with Thailand emerging as a key market for competitive gaming, community engagement, and esports entertainment.
