Thailand's time to rise continues: MSL TH Season 2 opens the road to the MCT SEA and the M8

The Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) Super League Thailand (MSL TH) returns for Season 2 from 11 September to 18 October 2026, marking a new chapter in Thailand's growing role within the global MLBB ecosystem.

As MLBB celebrates its 10th anniversary, Thailand will take centre stage in the game's continued globalisation. In December, the country will host the inaugural MLBB SEA Championship Tour (MCT SEA), before welcoming the M8 World Championship Wild Card to Bangkok—Thailand's first-ever M Series event.

MSL TH Season 2 begins Thailand's journey to these international stages. The league will determine the country's two representatives for MCT SEA, giving local teams a clear route from domestic competition to regional contention and, ultimately, the M8 World Championship (M8).

Hao Zhen Siew, Head of MLBB Esports, Thailand, at MOONTON Games, said: "As MLBB marks its 10th anniversary, Thailand embodies its next chapter: a passionate, competitive market helping shape the future of global esports. This year is not only about bringing international competition to Thailand, but placing the country at the heart of MLBB Esports' future. Through MSL TH, MCT SEA and the M8 Wild Card, Thailand is building stronger connections between its local talent, Southeast Asia and the world stage."

Thailand's path to the M8 starts here

MSL TH Season 2 will run for five weeks from 11 September to 11 October, across 15 match days. The live, on-stage Playoffs will follow from 16–18 October. The tournament will feature Bacon Time (BAC), Tenacity (TEN), Solyx Esports (SLX), Buriram United Esports (BRU), Full Sense (FS), eArena (eA), Hydra Esports (HD), King of Gamers Club (KOG), Valee Thai Esports (VLTH) and LEON Esports (LEON).

MSL-RS Schedule

The MSL TH Season 2 champion will earn the Champions' Choice, or the right to select its next international stage, either the M8 World Championship Wild Card in Bangkok or MCT SEA:

  • If the champion chooses the M8 Wild Card slot, the second- and third-placed teams will represent Thailand at MCT SEA.

  • If the champion selects MCT SEA, the second-placed team will receive the next Champions' Choice, followed by the third-placed team if necessary.

Thailand will have two representatives at MCT SEA: one through MSL TH's regular qualifying slot and a second through the host-country slot. The regional championship brings Southeast Asia's leading open league and regional league contenders into a single qualification pathway for the M8. Both representatives will need to perform against Southeast Asia's leading contenders as they pursue the M8 qualification.

The Champions' Choice allows teams to select the route that best suits their competitive strategy and preparation. The M8 Wild Card offers a direct route towards the M8 Main Stage, while MCT SEA offers the opportunity to compete against Southeast Asia's strongest contenders. The top two teams at MCT SEA will qualify directly for the M8 Main Stage in Istanbul, Türkiye, while the third- and fourth-placed teams will advance to the M8 Wild Card in Bangkok.

All eyes will be on KOG as the first-ever MSL Thailand champions return to defend their crown. The team set the benchmark in Season 1, but they will face strong competition from established teams and a new group of rising players ready to make their mark. For every team, MSL TH is a chance to prove itself at home and earn the right to represent Thailand internationally.

Beyond the competition, MSL TH Season 2 will create more ways for the Thai MLBB community to join the road to the M8.
