Let the celebrations begin! Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB), the internationally acclaimed mobile Multiplayer Online Battle Arena (MOBA), celebrates nine years of global success with the launch of its 9th Anniversary festival, "9th to Meet You". The celebration honours MLBB's worldwide community while reaffirming its position as one of the most influential mobile gaming and esports IPs of the decade.

A new music video, "Party Eve", also debuts as part of the festivities, capturing the energy, music, and shared excitement of MLBB's ninth birthday. Watch it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JwZz_zzLzBo

MLBB: A global entertainment powerhouse

Since its launch in 2016, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) has evolved from a regional hit into one of the most enduring mobile games globally. It has topped Southeast Asia's mobile gaming charts for nine consecutive years and has built a global audience of over 1.5 billion registered users and 110 million monthly active players across 190 countries.

With the global games market forecasted to generate over USD 188 billion in 2025, with mobile contributing over 55% of total revenue. MLBB exemplifies why mobile remains the industry's biggest contributor, demonstrating how a title built for accessibility can evolve into a worldwide entertainment ecosystem that blends competitive depth, cultural relevance, and business impact.

Its ecosystem is one of the largest in gaming, with structured leagues in eight regions that create opportunities for players, teams, and organisers worldwide. Its flagship tournaments, like the M series and Mid Season Cup (MSC), have made the game the most-watched esports events globally. At the Esports World Cup 2025, MSC reached over 3 million peak concurrent viewers and 50 million watch hours, while the M6 World Championship (M6) boasted 4.12 million peak viewers, placing it among the top ten most-watched esports tournaments of all time.

As esports continues to fight for mainstream legitimacy, MLBB has been one of the titles leading that charge. It is among the few mobile games recognised as a medalled event at both the SEA Games and the upcoming 2026 Asian Games. At the 32nd SEA Games in Cambodia, MLBB made history as the most-watched esports title of the tournament, setting records for both the men's and women's divisions, with 1.46 million and 1.36 million peak viewers, respectively.

MLBB has also become a trusted partner for global brands. Collaborations with realme and Fairrie have led to co-branded devices and award-winning campaigns that reach audiences well beyond gaming. M6 alone generated USD 129 million in measurable brand value for partners, underscoring MLBB's position as one of the most commercially valuable esports properties in the world. Generating 85 billion gross impressions across partner brands, this reflects how MLBB's ecosystem can deliver media exposure and fan engagement at a level that few digital IPs can match.

Nine years on, MLBB continues to prove that mobile gaming is not a niche or secondary space. It is where the next generation of global sports, entertainment, and community is being built.

Kicking celebrations off with a bang

Running from 9 October to 17 November, the "9th to Meet You" festival marks MLBB's largest annual player appreciation event to date, designed to thank the millions of players who continue to make every match, every friendship, and every moment possible. Whether you are a new player or a returning veteran, the festival is MLBB's way of saying: thank you for playing.

At the heart of the celebration are the new P.ACE girl group skins: a musical trio of heroes, Fanny, Cici, and Zhuxin, joined by Lolita, their number one fan.

Players can unlock these new skins, explore themed events, and experience a host of new activities, including the new 1vs1 Mode and Fun Guessing Event. This new game mode lets players challenge each other in quick, high-stakes duels, earning Fun Guessing Coins by predicting match outcomes or outperforming opponents. Coins can then be exchanged for exclusive rewards, adding a competitive twist to the celebration.

Expanding the MLBB multiverse

The 9th Anniversary also introduces the "Stardust Echoes", a vibrant new multiverse where music, magic, and courage intertwine. At its center is "P.ACE", an all-new girl group formed by three heroines from across distant worlds — each unique in personality and background, yet united by a shared dream to bring light wherever they go.

P.ACE is not just about rhythm or performance. Inspired by the belief that idols are not distant stars but people who choose to stand before others with a smile, the series embodies the spirit of resilience and empathy. Every hero design, skill effect, and visual detail reflects this core, portraying idols as symbols of positivity who scatter seeds of hope and happiness throughout the world.

As MLBB enters its tenth year, it remains committed to delivering inclusive, player-first experiences that celebrate competition, creativity, and connection. Cheers to nine amazing years, and to the millions of players who made them possible. Happy birthday MLBB!
