Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) put its Malaysian community at the heart of its 10th anniversary celebrations with #Karnival10BersamaMLBB, held at Vivacity Megamall, Kuching, from 9 to 11 October.

Part of the global ALL IN MLBB celebration, the three-day carnival received an enthusiastic response from fans and families, bringing together gaming, esports, music and entertainment to celebrate how MLBB has become part of Malaysian culture over the past decade. Today, nearly one in five Malaysians plays MLBB monthly, with more than 90 million cumulative downloads nationwide. Beyond its popularity as a mobile game, MLBB has become a shared passion that connects communities, nurtures local talent, and creates opportunities across esports, entertainment, and the creative economy.

Jeffery Chan, Publishing Lead, Business Development & Campus Marketing (Malaysia) at MOONTON Games, said: "Over the past decade, MLBB has grown alongside Malaysians to become part of our culture, connecting people across generations and backgrounds through a shared passion. Our 10th anniversary celebrations in Kuching reflect how far we have come together, and the communities and local talent that have made this journey possible. As we enter our next decade, we remain committed to nurturing these connections and creating more opportunities for Malaysians."

One of the carnival's main highlights saw the Land of Dawn come to life, as Malaysia's local cosplay community assembled all 133 MLBB heroes in a showcase featuring live performances and fan interactions. The gathering gave fans a rare opportunity to meet their favourite characters in person, bringing the world of MLBB beyond the screen.

The carnival also brought together different generations of Malaysian esports talent and the fans who have supported their journeys. Five-time MPL Malaysia winners Selangor Red Giants (SRG) joined fans for a special Fan Fun Match and meet-and-greet session, while veterans Team Saiyan faced Bigetron MY by VIT (BTRM) in an exhibition match, celebrating the players and teams who have helped shape Malaysia's competitive MLBB scene.

The three-day festivities culminated in the MLBB Creator Awards 2026, which presented 40 awards recognising Malaysian content creators who have turned their passion for gaming into careers, contributing to the country's growing digital and creative economy. Among the recipients was Muhammad Faris Zakaria, or better known as Soloz, who received both the 2026 Streamer of the Year and 2026 Players' Choice Award. A former professional MLBB esports player, Soloz has become one of Malaysia's most prominent content creators, with his journey inspiring the Malaysian film Soloz: Game of Life. His success demonstrates how MLBB has created opportunities for Malaysian talent to build careers beyond gaming, spanning esports, content creation, and mainstream entertainment.

#Karnival10BersamaMLBB formed part of ALL IN MLBB, the game's global 10th anniversary campaign celebrating the players and communities that have shaped its first decade. Since launching in 2016 with only 10 heroes, MLBB has grown into one of the world's most played mobile games, with 133 heroes, 42 season updates, 24 casual game modes, and more than 1.5 billion installations globally. Its esports ecosystem has also reached major international stages in 2026, including the International Olympic Committee-sanctioned Asian Games, MSC's European debut at EWC 2026 in Paris, and the road to the M8 World Championship Finals in Istanbul.

As MLBB enters its second decade, Malaysia remains an important part of its global journey. The anniversary carnival in Kuching brought the community together to celebrate a decade of shared memories and achievements, while looking ahead to the next chapter of MLBB's journey in Malaysia.
