Thailand takes its next step toward the MCT SEA and the M8 as Leon Esports wins MSL Thailand Season 2

Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) Super League Thailand (MSL TH) Season 2 has concluded, with Leon Esports (LEON) crowned champion before a sold-out crowd at BCC Hall, Central Ladprao, Bangkok, Thailand.

LEON defeated Bacon Time (BAC) in the Grand Finals (4:3), capping a three-day Playoffs weekend that brought together Thailand's MLBB community and set the stage for the country's next chapter in regional and global competition.

Leon Esports (LEON) lifts the MSL Thailand Season 2 trophy in front of a sold-out crowd in BCC Hall, Central Ladprao, Bangkok, Thailand.

The victory marks a defining moment in Thailand's return to the regional and global MLBB esports stages, as the country prepares to host two of MLBB Esports' most significant events this December: the inaugural MLBB SEA Championship Tour (MCT SEA) and the M8 World Championship (M8) Wild Card. As MLBB celebrates its 10th Anniversary, these events place Thailand at the centre of the game's next phase of globalisation—giving local teams a direct pathway from MSL Thailand to regional competition and, ultimately, the M Series.

Hao Zhen Siew, Head of MLBB Esports, Thailand, at MOONTON Games, said: "Tonight's result is bigger than one championship. It confirms Thailand's representatives for the next stage of their MLBB Esports journey and shows the strength of the country's growing competitive ecosystem. With MCT SEA and the M8 Wild Card coming to Bangkok, Thailand is not only welcoming the region's best teams—it is allowing its own players, teams, and fans to be part of MLBB's global future."

The Road to MCT SEA and the M8 Wild Card

At MCT SEA, Thailand will field two teams: one through MSL Thailand Season 2's regular qualifying slot and a second through the host-country slot awarded as Thailand hosts the inaugural MCT SEA. Thailand gets its additional slot as Bangkok also hosts the M8 Wild Card event.

As MSL Thailand Season 2 champions, LEON earned the Champions' Choice: the right to select their next international stage, either the M8 World Championship Wild Card in Bangkok or the inaugural MCT SEA. LEON selected the M8 World Championship Wild Card slot, which means that BAC and TENACITY (TEN) will represent Thailand at MCT SEA.

Continuing Thailand's time to rise on the global stages

LEON entered the Season 2 Playoffs as the team to beat, completing an undefeated 9–0 Regular Season with an 18–3 game record—the closest match to the benchmark set by King of Gamers Club (KOG) in Season 1, when KOG went 9–0 with an 18–2 game record before winning the inaugural title.

LEON's run to the Grand Final included a determined lower-bracket recovery. After a 3–1 defeat to Bacon Time on 17 October, the team responded with a dominant 3–0 victory against Tenacity to secure a second consecutive Grand Final appearance. In a closely contested Grand Final, LEON and BAC battled through all seven games, with LEON ultimately edging BAC 4–3 to claim the championship. LEON's Mid Laner, Tassapong "Karnnz" Supatarporn, was declared the Finals MVP (FMVP).

Thailand at the centre of MLBB's globalisation

MCT SEA is the Southeast Asian chapter of the MLBB Championship Tour, MLBB Esports' new five-region competitive structure. It will bring together 12 teams from 11 Southeast Asian markets in a single qualification pathway to the M8 World Championship. The Group Stage will take place from 9–10 December, followed by the Knockout Playoffs from 11–13 December. Both events are hosted in ICON SIAM, a world-class cultural hub located on the banks of the Chao Phraya River in Bangkok.

The top two MCT SEA teams will qualify directly for the M8 Main Stage in Istanbul, Türkiye. The third- and fourth-placed teams will advance to the M8 World Championship Wild Card in Bangkok, where three teams will progress to the Main Stage.

A celebration of Thailand's growing MLBB community

The MSL TH Season 2 Playoffs became a celebration of MLBB's communities in Thailand, as Burmese, Filipino, and Thai fans came together across the three-day event to cheer on their teams and share in the season's journey toward the world stage.

That shared community experience was strengthened by MSL TH Season 2's partners, who created more ways for fans, players, and creators to take part in the journey to the world stage.
