Both teams secured their spots after battling their way into the Grand Finals of the fifth season of the MLBB Professional League (MPL) MENA, which saw Team Falcons take their first-ever league crown yesterday (15 June) after defeating Twisted Minds 4-1.

The Saudi Esports Federation (SEF), the national body for esports in Saudi Arabia, has been appointed as the MPL MENA Season 5 Partner in Esports and will sponsor the full cost of player travel visas for the Season 5 Playoffs.
KUALA LUMPUR, 2 June – With Malaysia's Deputy Prime Minister in attendance, Selangor Red Giants defeated the Homebois 4-2 in the Grand Finals of the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League (MPL) Malaysia today (2 June). Their victory confirmed an unbeaten Season 13 for the Red Giants, who will be representing Malaysia at the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Mid Season Cup (MSC) 2024 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, where a life-changing USD 3,000,000 (~MYR 14 million) prize pool awaits. 2nd-placed Homebois will progress to the Wild Card stage, where they will compete against seven other teams for a place on the main stage.
