Organised by MOONTON Games and IO Esports, the new season of MLBB's developmental league has revamped its competitive format to increase the league's competitive level and strengthen the pace of development of Malaysia's esports talent pipeline.
PHNOM PENH, CAMBODIA, 29 August – Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) Professional League (MPL) Cambodia is back for its 7th iteration this weekend, starting 31 August 2024. Eight teams will vie to fight for the kingdom, take home the biggest share of the prize pool worth USD 40,000, and get a chance to represent the country in the upcoming M6 World Championship.
MANILA, 29 August – Empowering young Filipino students to have a headstart for the school year, international gaming developer and publisher MOONTON Games launched a notebook distribution drive called "Balik Eskwela" and handed over more than 40,000 notebooks to 159 schools in General Trias, Dasmariñas, Quezon Province, San Pablo City, and Cavite Province.

SINGAPORE, 26 August – Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) is the "Esports Mobile Game of the Year" at the Esports Awards 2024. This is the second year in a row that the globally acclaimed mobile Multiplayer Online Battle Arena (MOBA) game has won this category. MLBB was also a finalist for the "Esports Game of the Year" category.
